Why can't I weld these?

Recommended Posts

I have several signshape graphis that when I try to weld including the fonts, as soon as I weld the fonts disappear.  I"m getting really tired of combining them, makes weeding the fonts tedious because of those little extras it leaves behind.

Can someone help with this?

I'll post one of the files.

weld.EPS

weld.EPS

Not sure if I understand, but if you weld them the fonts would disappear, because you make it a part of the sign.

I don't have this problem with some of the sign shapes.  It's really weird.  On some I weld and they come out perfect.  Others like this one the fonts disappear.

I think some work because it is K/O of sign, not a color text, two colors. It is just a single color sign K/O.

The borders on sign are not there, they are a cutout, the text and crown you added are a second layer to put on. Or send all colors at once and it would cut the text out as it does the border.

Try a Combine instead of weld. It will cut the text out of the background.

Thanks Jay.  I've been using combine, just tired of weeding the fonts.

Why is signblazer so finicky and not let me just open an eps file from my desk top?!  Never mind.  I remember there's a trick to getting it to open but can't remember the trick at the moment.

Try to weld just the font first, then do a combine.

I think I tried that already, but I'll do it again.

If it won't open in blazer... open in Illustrator and resave.

I can't get this file to open in signblazer.  Do you know how I can open it?  This is very frustrating.
