markhexamer@hotmail.com 0 Posted September 15, 2020 Hello People, I am curious to your thoughts on what is the best reusable and one time stencil material to use? Thank for your input.
darcshadow 1,604 Posted September 15, 2020 Depends on what you want to do with it. I've used Greenstart, Oracal 631, and Oracal 651 when sand blasting cups. I've also used 651 as a paint mask. Never tried to make a reusable stencil but that would require a thicker material and likely a carrier mat to cut it, if the cutter can even cut through the material.

darcshadow 1,604 Posted September 15, 2020 When I used it as a paint mask it was just a craft project but worked well.
jeffreyequalitybrooks 0 Posted November 25, 2020 i use the ormask 810s a ton and the blue 812? ( i think ) depending on the surface im going on. The grey 810s is lower tach and has a stretchier feel. The ormask that is blue stuff has a high tach and is a bit more rigid. Both tare apart on removal so neither are "re-useable" if you find something let me know! I'm curious if a loose mask might work for your application. If that is the case you might need a cutter that has a carrier as opposed to roll stock feed. hmm -- i really want to know the answer to this too. Keep us updated!
