dave1234 0 Posted December 23, 2019 Operating on a windows 7 64 bit computer Turned on the 8000 graphtec today and it says "E02001 GP-GL Error 1" connected via usb Not sure what to do. I believe I updated the driver. Said it updated. So I assume that worked. Do I need to update firmware? No idea what I need for that or how to get the right one for my computer. After trying different things, I send things to cut, it says its cutting but its not really cutting. Anyone know what I need to do?

dave1234 0 Posted December 24, 2019 cutting program? I use flexi Firmware, I may have already messed with. where do i check on my machine and my computer for what firmware Im using?
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted December 24, 2019 the machine displays the firmware when booting every time you turn it on
bikemike 711 Posted December 24, 2019 Flexi uses hpgl. Your second post is the firmware version. Make sure there is nothing in the que waiting to cut. Unplug the usb and see it you still get the error. If you don't get the error, the computer is probably still trying to send something in gpgl.
bikemike 711 Posted December 24, 2019 http://www.graphteccorp.com/support/manuals/FC8000/FC8000UM2510.pdf Go to 8.4.2. There is the error.

MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted December 25, 2019 Which version of Flexi software are you using? And Flexi must be on Hp-GL command. Make sure your driver is working. Also, like said above, do not mess with the firmwar

Not a com port number. You should be able to to plug cable into any com port on your computer and it works. No matching of Com port number. But could plug into each com port and see if they get the same error. Or try a new cable. @Dave1234, Does your Flexi have a USB dongle, like a flash drive? Like shown in these pictures?
