copy rights

Recommended Posts

I have a dumb question. How do you know if there is a copy right on something?  We are wanting to sale police & fire license plates (black plate with either blue or red reflective strips).

If the design is already being sold by someone, regardless of media (t-shirts, keychains, etc.) there's probably a good chance that it's copyrighted (servicemarked or trademarked).

If you post a sample of the graphic you were planning on using, the forum might be able to help you determine whether there would be any infringement issues. No promises, but we do try (to help as much as possible).

Just looks like a black plate with a blue reflective strip across the middle of it. I don't see how someone could "copyright" that.  ;D I say go for it, and make a killin' for those dumb firefighters!!!

There not plates but thats the  logo in a small sticker on the back bumper of your car or window denotes Your a police officer here in town,

Not something I would personally want to sell to public because of its meaning here
