Benr98 40 Posted April 26, 2008 I am going to get an order to cut the vinyl for a one time stencil...........any ideas what is the best kind?? I tried a few test ones on the free Avery transparent I'll find out tomorrow how well it works. It's being placed on another vinyl canopy just for the stenciling. Geez hope this made sense! Jay2703 704 Posted April 26, 2008 I have some and it cuts the same. I think the main difference is the adhesive. It is not as strong so it comes off and it shouldn't peel or bubble when being painted. I made some stencils for a friend out of regular vinyl. When he used them with an oil based stain the vinyl started to lift. The stencil vinyl is made for this application. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
