jaybyrd 3,770 Posted February 26, 2015 Anybody used one of these? Opinions? http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=231489647652
knucklehead 530 Posted February 26, 2015 Supposed to be about the best, consumer grade, monitor calibration system, on the market. That's what most of the 'pro' photogs use, from what I gather.
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted February 26, 2015 I ordered one yesterday. Been having issues with print vinyl being way different than my monitor hopefully this helps.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted February 26, 2015 I ordered one yesterday. Been having issues with print vinyl being way different than my monitor hopefully this helps. best way would be to get your printer to print a color chart from their printer = I have one on the wall and print a new one every time I change heads etc so colors will be right - it is the only way to get a close match. I don't care what colors are on the monitor they can shift when printed. your monitor uses rgb to make the colors and the printer uses cmyk - IMHO
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted February 26, 2015 Got a color chart on the way already but trying to cover as many bases as I can. Im replacing $80 worth of vinyl because of it being way off from my monitor but I never had an issue before this.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted February 26, 2015 heck the only way i can match is with the color chart - some colors are more off than others but again it is a different type of color mixing with the light from the monitor and the pigments in the ink
DCMoney 91 Posted February 26, 2015 I use one but I bought it for photo editing. Made a huge difference. If you really want a good set up you need to start with a good monitor.
