lilrowo 5 Posted September 11, 2014 I bought a swing away heat press from this company on amazon. It worked fine for a little over a year. Now, the alarm beeps constantly and it overheats. I set the temp to 400F and it goes up to 488 or so everytime I try to use it (for sublimation). I contacted them and there is no warranty, (which it would have probably been out of warranty anyway), but I would have to ship it to them so they can find out what the problem is, and pay for any parts and labor to repair it. I figured it wasn't worth it, not knowing what it would cost. So I ordered a SunIE. That was not a good move on my part. That one is on its way back to the company, they sent it damaged. I finally said enough of this chinese made stuff and ordered a Hotronix. It should be arriving tomorrow. Just thought I would let you know my experience with heat presses.
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted September 11, 2014 I recently had to order parts for an older Hotronix and all I can say is they were awesome to deal with. The reason certain companies stand the test of time usually comes down to quality and customer service and Hotronix has both.
