Jamieb21 0 Posted September 4, 2014 I have a Roland GX-24 cutter. Its been cutting great up until recently. It will cut letters and small stuff out just fine but once it starts a long cut it seems to dig in and cut all the way thru my vinyl, causing it to jam and mess up my decals. Any ideas? I have a new blade, adjusted the cutting head, cleaned it... Can't seem to figure out what is wrong! Help!

MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted September 4, 2014 this is how to set your blade correctly To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing.
greenmachine 52 Posted September 4, 2014 If it is on long cuts, you should be pulling some vinyl off the roll so that there is not a lot of tension as it is cutting.
