mike11 0 Posted July 13, 2014 Want to get started. Looking for a cutter that can handle material for sand blasting. I have corel x6 since Oct of 13, should have that well learned sometime around 2021. I have a laser and a small cnc router, so I do have some idea how it works. I like the posts that say only get what you need. Would rather go with a good, dependable machine. Thanks
tooler82 182 Posted July 14, 2014 If you're in Mobile get ahold of Grimco. That's who we order from.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted July 14, 2014 graphtec first choice but I would go with at least a servo motor titan2 for the resist if doing rock etc on the etching. it has 750g down force - way above the rest. if doing lighter material where you will be using regular vinyl for resist you don't need as sturdy of a machine but you will never be sorry you went to a servo machine for accuracy and ease of use. you can use the value machines but they require a lot more tinkering to get dialed in
