Allycat 0 Posted April 24, 2014 Hi all, im just starting out sandcarving/etching and have had a few problems weeding, small text i.e.the letters a q o d b i keep pulling out the centres. Has anyone got a good way of replacing missing bits? Also Im finding my application tape is to tacky, any way to overcome this as ive bought 100 Metres of it. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.
Jay2703 704 Posted April 24, 2014 I like the clear app tape for paint mask. It isn't as tacky and comes off easier. For replacing the letters, I will cut letters on both sides as indexes to put parts back.
rlvied 292 Posted April 24, 2014 Allycat try putting it on the glass then weeding it. It works better for me that way. It sticks to the glass a lot better then the backing Bob

I work over canvas often and need lower tact than the paper tape is giving me.
