Dan01801 0 Posted March 21, 2007 HI, I am trying to layout text to make simple signs for our parking lots. I produce the text in Inkscape, but when I try and save it and open it in Signcut nothing shows up. There is no need to "trace" text correct. I have tried doing both. I tried saving it as an eps file and opening it, but nothing is there. I have also tried to trace it and open it in signcut and both ways dont work. I am getting very confused, hopefully I am diong something wrong. Thank you, Dan
kenimes 42 Posted March 21, 2007 ***File transfer from Inkscape to SignCut-X2*** Click the FILES menu and the SAVE option in the menu-list. Choose where to save the final. The IMPORT-folder situated under the SignCut-folder is recommended. Choose the EPSformat. Be sure that the ?Convert text to path? is checked! Then open SignCut and click the open folder in the top right. Find your file and open it. Hope this helps Ken

wg_kjell 0 Posted April 8, 2007 Hi, If you click the Rotation main tool on the left side of the working area, then you will get sub-tools under the working area that allows you to change rotation. However, the quickest way to rotate it is to click the TAB-key, it will ratoate the image incremental in 90 degree steps. To mirror it press Ctrl and then click the TAB-key. To get the angle with the minimum vinyl consumption, then press Shift and click the TAB-key
