tooler82 182 Posted January 9, 2014 Is there anyway to vectorize this and make it look good? It keeps looking like a cartoon to me. Thanks

skarekrow 1,842 Posted January 9, 2014 There are compromises and concessions that have to be made when creating a vector (path based) image from a raster (pixel based) image. Its the nature of the media. There is a 'cartoon' or 'line art' quality about the outcome that increases with the lesser number of layers created to represent the original. In other words, you could create a near exact copy of the raster image above if you were to create a vector image of it containing say, what? 150 to 500 layers? (Ever how many colors are in the image... I understand some have a millions.) edit Just counted the colors/layers from the original vector you uploaded. Just the spraying water....72. AquaTekLogo.eps So I'm guessing the 150 (colors/layers) mentioned above's not gonna do it either. Probably closer to the 500.
