coloradokev 0 Posted March 25, 2008 Masonite is hard and slick on one side, and even better- fairly cheap. Makes a good bench top. You might just go to the Home Despot and have them cut a sheet of hard masonite to the dimensions of your current table and use that as a renewable work surface. When it gets all raggedy, just get a new piece. I am using a soft, interior door blank for my work table. When I need to, (which looks like it won't be long now) that's what I'll be doing.
