Glitter Heat Transfer... HELP! before I throw out my machine

Recommended Posts

So I am new to the vinyl world and I have the USCUTTER SC. Well I am mainly focusing on heat transfer and geez I have wasted SOOOOO much material and money on trying to figure out the exact settings and blade length (this stuff is NOT cheap). Someone if you have any particular setting you use for this I would love any help before I go crazy and give up.

It should work the same as any other heat transfer: Medium pressure, a little tip showing, sharp blades. try a 60deg blade and do small test cuts first.

If you're cutting regular siser it is the same settings as 651 vinyl so I would do my set up with vinyl scraps instead of costly siser. I've heard metallics and glitters take more blade and pressure than regular siser so those are trial and error.

Edit: I just say your headline about glitter and all I've heard is load up on the pressure and set your blade off the machine like mzskeeter explains how to.

set your blade like this:

To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing.
