MadHatterGraphix 1,258 Posted August 21, 2013 First thank you all for your prayers, I believe they helped greatly and the family thanks you all. As for the update what caused this whole situation is her kidneys. They weren't removing liquids fast enough. they did not recover completely from the surgery last month, so the liquid found places to go such as lungs and behind the heart. She has been on the ventilation machines since Friday night, has been sedated since then also. She also has very low blood pressure which she always has had but this is really low. They started feeding her through a tube Monday night. The good news is she was responsive Saturday even being sedated she wrote shoes off even though she didn't have any on. She wiggles her toes, taps her fingers and answers with nods. Today they are reducing the ventilation machine, and the amount of sedation meds. Heres hoping things get better.

mabscotthandyman 1,410 Posted August 21, 2013 Pericardial infussion and pulomanary edema can occur when the heart does not function at 100 percent or when the kidneys dont function properly. Rest is probably the best thing for her now. With good medical care and a loving familys care and prayers hopefully she will continue to make progress. Good luck to you and your family.

MadHatterGraphix 1,258 Posted August 23, 2013 Thank you all for the prayers, I believe they are helping a lot. They got her off the low blood pressure meds and her heart is keeping it steady, they're also doing dialysis to clean the blood and help get the fluids down. Her Han have gone down a lot before this and her feet and legs a re coming down also. They found water in her lungs Thursday morning and hoping the treatments she is receiving cleaned it.
