slice&dice 2,451 Posted April 9, 2013 I am not sure I even understand the rant. McDonald's has Wendy's and Bob's Big Boy and BK. Papa John has Domino's and Gino's and Lil' Caesar's WalMart has Ollie's and KMart and BigLots/JobLots. Canon has Nikon, Minolta, Sony, Fuji. USCUTTER has SignWarehouse and CutterPros. Did you come up with a business that was so unique and utilizes proprietary software and has secret ingredients? No? Me neither.

slice&dice 2,451 Posted April 9, 2013 Sorry want happen again. "won't" happen You got into a business that uses 1980's technology. (Vinyl cutters operate the same way today since the first ones produced by HP using HPGL) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plotter
thomasmary 11 Posted April 9, 2013 Can you believe Clint is not helping Troy get them Gators this year, working on his Turtle Farm instead.
slice&dice 2,451 Posted April 9, 2013 I was mentioning names that were recognizable, just as illustration of "competition" and how the "marketplace" functions. Do you think that ROLAND is thrilled with cheap Chinese knock-off cutters which are popping up everywhere? I can guarantee that ROLAND loses sales to them. Your original opening post (since deleted and replaced with sarcasm) was discussing "pricing" and how people chop prices, and copy your style of operation and/or business model. Well, the size of your town means nothing. Anyone can bake cupcakes & pies and open a bake sale booth. Anyone can buy a hot dog cart and become a hot dog vendor. Anyone can order a vinyl cutter and start a decal business. Happens every day, all across the USA. That's why USCUTTER is in business, they sell under- $400 machines to anyone who feels it's worth their while to learn the craft.
thomasmary 11 Posted April 9, 2013 How did you expect me to respond by correcting my spelling like I am a child. I knew when I posted it that the spelling was wrong but I knew it would be understood anyways. Kind of disrespectful on your part. I have nothing against you and just posted something that I been thinking for a while. This is the reason I do not post to begin with and I am now going back into lurking mode. I hope the best for you and like I said want happen again.
slice&dice 2,451 Posted April 9, 2013 I gave you a legitimate and logical reply. Not disrespectful in any way. In fact, if you look at the thread, you decided to abandon the discussion (and edit/delete your posting) prior to my inserting a comment about that glaring spelling error. You got so upset because I corrected your spelling? Really? No wonder you are having a tough time in business. Thin skin. Go ahead, take your ball and run away. I have nothing against you, either. This is an open Forum, and you placed a rant in here, and I gave my opinion.

slice&dice 2,451 Posted April 9, 2013 wheres our fillets?? or at least a pic He said "went fishing" but there was no indication of success. The (now disappeared) opening posting was complaining about people copying her flea-market decal-cutting business, and she threw in a rant about "price-chopping" for good measure. Meh.
Coaster36 327 Posted April 9, 2013 Copying a flea market operation? There a dime a dozen down here. All look exactly the same too. Heres some pics, the top is two little spanish mackerel that will be fish dip in a few hours and the bottom the little black tip shark we caught last night. Ive been wanting to try shark for ever so im trying two pieces on the smoker with the mackerel and the rest will go on the grill this afternoon.
