hood blackout decal for a jeep

Ive been asked to cut a decal for a friend, he wants an anti-glare hood decal, also known as a hood blackout decal for his jeep. Anyone had any experiance in this? I presume the hood would get fairly warm so is there a specific type of vinyl that I should use for the job?

I would use Oracal 751 or better in a Matte finish.

i only have a 24" cutter :/

 

I found one place they do samples or cut offs, but not sure if its all odd sized cuts or a proper roll - from the description it sounded like its just floor cuttings lol

I will bet the hood is wider than 24" - if you want to cut stripes just cut it into 24" strips or cut the roll down.  I was just suggesting this is the right product for a long lasting job as a professional shop would do

Metro sells shorter rolls,  yes, still 60" but don't buy a roll.
