Hi i am using inkscape 0.47 and was wondering how to make a boarder around text and to curve the text

If anyone could please give me some step by step instructions i would be greatly appreciated. I was curious as how to curve text. and also how i could put a boarder around text thank you

what do you mean curve text? Like arch it? Text on path? There are many tutorials on inkscape on the net...And also youtube.com
