Dgaree 7 Posted September 27, 2012 I have designed an image in inkscape and would like to cut it in signblazer. I have watched several videos on how to vectorize and followed several posts but am having trouble. I saved the image as a svg and a png. I open the png file and try to trace it, but nothing shows up. I click update and nothing shows up. Any tips? I have uploaded the design. Thanks for your help!
mb20music 760 Posted September 27, 2012 You can do that "design" (it is just text) in Signblazer, no need to design it in Inkscape. But anyway, If you make a design in Inkscape - you can save it as an .eps and then import the file into Signblazer and cut it without having to do any tracing. I also want to mention tracing text almost always never turns out well.
Coaster36 327 Posted September 28, 2012 mb20 nailed it on the head. Just find the texts and create it in signblazer. A little work up front but youll turn out a much better project. If you try to trace the fonts, youll spend twice as much time fixing the nodes on the font to get them to look right, and a good eye would probably still see the mistakes. Try running that imaige through http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ and see if it comes up with the font. Since its two fonts, youll probably want to break that up just to help the program out.
