mrobbins 0 Posted November 2, 2011 Hey guys. Very new to the cutting world. I am attempting to vectorize my home images rather than coming to the board for every graphic I need. I am using inkscape to vectorize and signcut x2 to cut. First I find my files mainly from clipart sites which require me to download in PNG format. Next ill open inkscape and highlite the image and select trace bitmap. The images always trace very well with inkscape. Next I select save as and select to save in EPS format. So I open signcut and try to open the image. I select my image to open and the green loading progress bar appears. When it goes away I either am left with a single line running diagonally across the image screen or no image at all. I also try to open the file with signblazer and it doesn't even appear so I can open it. What am I doing wrong?
mrobbins 0 Posted November 2, 2011 Sorry guys I meant to say own images. Trying to type things from a cell phone gets messy
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted November 2, 2011 are you following the directions here? You didn't state that you were deleting the original image before saving the vector image to .eps http://support.uscutter.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/147/9/how-to-create-vector-images-with-inkscape
mrobbins 0 Posted November 2, 2011 Lol now I feel stupid. I've been deleting the top image rather than the bottom. Thanks for the quick reply!
