randalle 50 Posted August 6, 2011 Getting ready to do some lettering for a FD. Any suggestions for a font? Sorry, I know that is a vague question... and frankly, I would never ask for a font suggestion as it is generally a creative thing. BUT, I was curious of people that have done work on FD, PD, ambulance,etc.... jobs have some suggestions for fonts that are great for that line of business. Thank you! mgraphics 14 Posted August 15, 2011 Most of our trucks use arial black in reflective gold with a black ouline and drop shadow
deth502 39 Posted August 16, 2011 depending on the desired look, ive been using "subway" on most every damn thing lately. the letters are formed well and well proportioned, and no sharp corners. i did a bunch of fire police Maltese cross logos for their personal vehicles with it. its kind of a more "fun" type font. for an actual truck, id try something more "serious", if that makes any sense to you. SpareParts 3 Posted August 16, 2011 I use a font called Wanderer Fill that is very traditional for fire departments.
