AlexJayUK 0 Posted July 9, 2011 Hi All, I normally use medium tack app tape for matt vinyl, but lately have been cutting lots of gloss vinyl. I have noticed that medium tack app tape doesn't adhere to gloss too well because of its smooth finish. Would it be wise to purchase app tape with a higher tack level for easier use on gloss, or do you just need to squeegee the tape for longer until eventually it sticks. Any advice is appreciated. MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted July 9, 2011 maybe it depends on the brand tape you use. I have only used medium tack paper tape for over 4 years. and no problems. I used to use R-tape 4050RLA, Then I bought a roll of Main tape, and I found that I like Main tape better. So I switched all sizes to Main tape a couple of years ago.
