BannerJohn 1,324 Posted July 6, 2011 You would think that in a high school with 2500+ students, someone would have had sense enough to know better. http://www.johnsoncitypress.com/News/article.php?id=92159#ixzz1RLMn8TRg
roxanneupnorth 106 Posted July 6, 2011 Well at least the college gave them a decent exit plan.....No legal expense.....No damages....And they can sell existing stock.....A "mega corporation" would not have been so generous.....

And also on the $500,000 scoreboard.
midwaste 4 Posted July 7, 2011 I've always wondered why this hasn't happened to more schools. In my area, there is a blatant Patriots logo ripoff as well as an Eagles ripoff (albeit with the colors changed). And why the hell does University of GA have the exact same logo as the Packers? That one has always baffled me.
edge 67 Posted July 7, 2011 Purdue is rumored to currently be taking similar action against one of our small local public high schools that has used a character with similarities to the Boilermaker for the past 40+ years. Had this supposed violation been hidden from them, I could have a better understanding of their current positione, This has in fact been in the public eye within 100 miles in the same state. Has me wondering if this isn't being pushed nationwide by the NCAA.
