godstrong1 2 Posted April 15, 2011 I am attempting to apply vinyl on a 8' x 3' store front sign. i will be installing it by myself. is there a easy way of applying this without me messing this vinyl up. or falling off my ladder? the sign is on top of the store front, and i will have to go up and install the single printed solid piece of vinyl that measures 8'x3'. i am trying to find a video or tutorial that will show me a technique on google or youtube but cant seem to find one. has anyone did this before. any help is welcome. thanks in advance! racinboy30 9 Posted April 15, 2011 I would never do the install on a ladder, the substrate should be removable and brought down to you. I always measure twice, and then use the hinge method. If you do it properly it will lay down no problem. The only way I would do a install with the sign still up is with a lift.
prototype66 20 Posted April 15, 2011 +1 Bring the substrate down and play it safe! Plus its easier on a stable surface.
