edge 67 Posted January 12, 2008 Seems like everytime I visit here I get the urge..my new Lasercut should be on the way shortly. PS: Any suggestions on how I should go about releasing the news to the wife?
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted January 12, 2008 very simple...just write her a note......and stick it in the same box from the jewelry store that contains whatever you bought HER.

haumana 1,220 Posted January 12, 2008 PS: Any suggestions on how I should go about releasing the news to the wife? First off - GOOD LUCK! Tell her to praise your intelligence, because you weren't stupid enough to buy another brand that would have easily cost you 5x what you paid for your cutter. BannerJohn 1,324 Posted January 12, 2008 my little brother uses a similar ploy...he will tell his wife he is thinking of buying something and then go on to describe the most expensive model available, with the price. Then he says....BUT WAIT! I think I can beat that price...and then comes back and says "I've found the same thing for 1/5 the price..what a deal! She falls for it every time. Or so he says. Incidentally...she was against him buying his p-cut... I told him that if it didn't pay for itself in 3 months I would buy it from him so she agreed. The first job he got was a $900 profit. Needless to say,I didn't get the p-cut.

Ouch.... that almost hurt as I was foolish enough to purchase a CraftROBO late last year. Ooops I didn't just diminish my chances of selling it here did I? Call me a coward if you will, I think I'll just wait and see how long it takes her to notice the LaserCut, she don't care.
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted January 12, 2008 if you want to sell the Craft Robo, you shouldn't have a problem. The scrapbooking moms love it. Esp in the UK...you should visit their forums sometimes.
