kpsxtyone 0 Posted September 23, 2010 Hi, I got the cutter for just over 6 months now. It has been great till i used it again after a month of idle. I normally cut at 70 with pressure of 130 on a 45 degree blade for simple outline decals. When i tried cutting with the same file it the end cut are not matching. I have to cut it at 50 and it will work just fine. This also affected contour cutting. for a 8 x 11 paper with say 6 circles (2 columns x 3 rows). The ones closest to the front of the cutter are perfect middle is a bit off then the last one is not acceptable. I was wondering if the motor, gears, belts need replacing after say... 100 hours of work?(with in a span of 5 months). Do i take it apart lubricate the bearings and double check any clearance? Thanks, Ryan
Jay2703 704 Posted September 23, 2010 They are pretty much maintenance free. Just keep the dust off and throw a new blade in now and then.
cutme 5 Posted January 31, 2011 if you remove the cover off the end of the cutter that has the power switch. you will find a belt that is likely a little loose. you can adjust the tension on it and your cuts will improve. bb
