deth502 39 Posted July 29, 2010 i have some emblems i made up for some of the fire police, just a maltese cross with the station name and number on it. someone wants them in chrome, it will go on a side window of a blazer. which im doubt will matter much, but im wondering what would be best to use. i found this in chrome: http://www.uscutter.com/ORACAL-351-Metallized-Polyester-24quot-x-10-Yard-Roll_p_362.html This thin (1 mil) polyester film is ideal for the decoration of transparent substrates, applications including decorative labels, name and technical plates, decoration and moldings, safety stickers, as well as cut letters and symbols. nit sure i fully understand that, but it seems to fit the bill, no?? otoh, i found this: http://www.uscutter.com/ORACAL-951M-Premium-Cast-Metallic-24quot-x-10-Yard-Roll_p_363.html which seems to be a higher quality product that id rather use, but there is no specific "chrome" listed, and i dont know how "chrome like" any of the colors would be. or is there something else i should be looking for? deth502 39 Posted July 29, 2010 or would something like this be better?? http://www.uscutter.com/Creative-Films-PRIME-SERIES-24-by-10yd-Metallic-Film-003-Polychrome-Silver-_p_452.html just found that one, seems to be on target with price and lifespan. liked the price point of the 351, but the 1-2 yr outdoor life didnt appeal to me. and while the durability of the 951 was nice, the price was significantly higher, making my pricing scale off on how to bid them. would this be better for my needs?
