You have to EXPORT not SAVE AS in .EPS format that is all.

I also have same problem.

I am trying to cut a simple graphic and when I try to cut in SBE I get a message:

"This drawing contains a bitmap. Only other object will be cut and the bitmaps will not be cut"

I have saved/exported in AI/EPS and just about every other file format but still cant get past this message

I use CorelDraw 12, Adobe Illustrator 9 and SBE

then your file is not totally vectorized,  raster images will not work.

+1

merely saving it as an eps DOES NOT make it a vector image.

indeed, i surely would still not be able to do anything constructive in inkscape if it werent for the videos and posts here.

signblazer, otoh, is much more intuitive just to get going with, but if you also look for info on it here, you will also be able to do a lot more things with that too, making it much more useful.
