LP24 Sounds like it dying

First it started freezing in the middle of a piece and now when it goes back and forth and side to side it sounds like its dying. Also it doesnt seem to cut deep enough anymore. I plan on calling tech support monday but just curious if anyone has any ideas?

if the stand isn't grounded to the cutter I am betting on a motherboard - I had one I fixed that did that.  static builds up in the stand and discharges thru the cutting head.
