Looking for guidance for first storefront job

Recommended Posts

Guest YHC

So I have a bid to put in for what will hopefully be my first storefront job. So with client's request, I've come up with these layouts.

The 5x8 windows are tinted and client has asked for plain white graphic/lettering.

There is a total of 6 windows and one door.

I have about 2hrs in cleaning the client supplied graphic and laying it out.

I will have a total of 3 round trips which I will calculate in based off .50 per mile

According to Signcraft's priceguide book I should be around $1482

What would you be at?

Thanks Guest, Have you ever let anyone make payments for a job before or would you?

I always try to get a signature on a quote, plus a 50% deposit. I also make a note of the payment type for deposit (cash, card, check) and have them initial... just to CYA

At least 50% deposit to at least cover your material and some time. A signed proposal stating terms and conditions , a worked up proof with customers approval saves a lot of he said she said if all is spelled out.

Also I always have balance of payment due at completion a lot of people will assume you will bill them especially company's( the same that requires 3 pages of information and prior approval on any thing sold on 30 days will expect to just send you a check at their convenience)
