CyberSultan 6 Posted May 3, 2010 Welcome to the forum! You can purchase spray mask material that can be feed and cut with a vinyl cutter. I don't use spray mask myself, but here are a couple links: http://www.signwarehouse.com/VSSTENC-p-VOR813-1510-STMSKB.html http://www.signwarehouse.com/VSPRAYMASK-p-VGAP-SPMSK2010N.html

Hamstar 0 Posted May 15, 2010 Well I had a chance to play around with my new plotter last night, and today before leaving for the office I used it for the first time I made a mask and applied it to my wifes car I used a lot of the transfer film as an overspray mask I shot it with Wrangler Silver (this is a rattle can job since it's so small) I think it turned out pretty decent I cant wait until Monday when I start painting my first guitar and I think a Playstation 2 for good measure! Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted May 15, 2010 Great start - isn't that a whole lot better than the old way!
Hamstar 0 Posted May 15, 2010 Oh Dear Lord I should have done this YEARS ago! Seriously I think I spent all of 10 minutes from design, to load, to cut for both sides and that included putting the transfer film on the mask! I cant wait until Monday!
RDR Grafix 3 Posted May 18, 2010 Yeah once you have a cutter you ask yourself how the hell did i do it by hand for so long. Thats what I was asking myself
Hamstar 0 Posted May 18, 2010 last night I worked on my first major mask, 650 layer vector it took my cutter 20 min to cut the thing, and I started weeding it at midnight and finished around 6am I'm now wondering how it will transfer over with so many little bits
