How do I seperate words

Recommended Posts

If I type a sentence and click the select arrow, the whole sentenced is outlined.  How do I separate the words so that I can just choose one word and change the size of it or whatever, or only cut one of the words out?  (I tried to click ungroup, but they are not grouped)

Thanks

select your sentence>  go to TOP OF screen.>  TEXT>  click it> you should see break apart, click it,  than you should be able to move letters then,

Thank you, I see that now.  That works for text I type. I also have some stuff that I didn't type myself (some designs I purchased and downloaded).  How do I break those apart because the 'break apart' option is not available to use on some of those.  Sometimes I can upgroup them and then I can move them apart, but sometimes I can't use the ungroup choice either.

Thanks again!

I tried to ungroup it and that option is not available.  (it's not highlighted so I can't click on it)

I tried doing that and the ungroup option is still not available.  The break apart option is not available either.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Attached is an example of one of the items if you want to look at it.  I have a lot more that I use though so I would like to learn how to do so I don't have to have someone else do it all the time.

How would I find out what font is used on my items so I can recreate them if I want to?  That would be helpful if I could find that out.

(sorry to take so long to reply)

on the one that you posted I selected it (so its highlighted) then right click, then un group. Still couldn't move them around so then I right clicked again and saw un compound. So I un compound them they broke apart.

does that help?

That does help, thanks!  But the center's of the 'L, O and D' turned solid black.  Do you just have to compound those again individually to fix those letters again?

Thanks!

are you cutting them?  just click wireframe, they are all open and are  cuttable,   or printing just click the compound again on the words you want.

Thanks!  Any suggestions on how I figure out what fonts are being used?  (Not only on this one, but on other ones I have too. I know part of this one thanks to Firemalt )  Sometimes I want to add something to a design but I don't know the font.

Thanks again
