egraphics 0 Posted March 9, 2010 Mac OS X SignCut Pro Roland PC-60 (just purchased) Keyspan serial to usb adapter Will not finish cut......and cuts random straight lines all over graphic.....
egraphics 0 Posted March 9, 2010 The cut never completes, and is really random and thinks it is done......blade doesn't lift up (all the time) either (with my refine, this was a grounding issue) - I grounded the top main unit to the metal stand.....yet blade still cuts straight random lines when it moves. Can anyone test a file for me? This is the same file I have always used with no problems.........so not sure why the cut stops and thinks it is done, when it is incomplete it just looks crazy. Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted March 9, 2010 if the blade never lifts I would look at the carriage or the motherboard. if I remember correctly the p-cut has the blade lifted when off and first fired up - unlike the refine mh series that lifts the blade when powered up - contact usc thru the support ticket system on their site and they will run you thru testing it
egraphics 0 Posted March 9, 2010 It does lift up on occasion, I can see it - but it does create a line across the graphic. In addition, out of a simple 1 layer Engstrom Graphics logo, it only completes about 3 letters (in random order) with random lines all over then stops. Not sure what p-cut is.......but my cutter is a Roland PC-60. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it! In the proof, I was using just blank white vinyl instead of my nice vinyl to test cut the pink Engstrom Graphics......and it completed about 3 letters, with crazy lines all over the place. colors.eps colors.eps
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted March 9, 2010 my bad I skimmed and thought it was a p-cut - I know even less about the pc-60. a member on here that goes by Kimon knows signcut, but I think we need someone with a roland to chime in. sorry for the confusion.
