Guest manwayvan Posted February 22, 2010 I dont get it? What is that suppose to translate to? Is that a driver their trying to edit or something?
tinaski 11 Posted February 22, 2010 I dont get it? What is that suppose to translate to? Is that a driver their trying to edit or something? that is the code that your cutter uses. (hpgl) when you design something of the software of your choice - flexi - sign go - whatever - it will convert your nodes and lines to segments - if you look at the code PU = pen up (pen if our case meaning knife) PD = pen down all the numbers are placement of the cutter and so on there is other codes too just looking for someone who can take the raw code and cut it - its not like a printer that takes the image and prints what's it translate to - an image - if I dump that to the cutter as text its not a program or a driver or anything like that it will cut what it is told to cut take any segment - PD2997,3099 = pen down at segment 2997 till 3099 - that's all it is just seeing if there is anyone here that knows more than how to draw a pic and cut. CRD 9 Posted February 23, 2010 Tinaski, Hi, I have not time but it seems you have. I think a lot of people here would like the plotter to be controlled by software. I mean the PCUT and other Chinese based cutters. A simple program that sets speed and force from the PC instead of the plotter screen would be a welcome feature. Do not knwo if this could be done by HPGL too. Let us know it can make a lot of people happy. Regards, Paco

Regards, Paco well I use inkscape or sk1 to cut my vinyl - look at my signature in the process of sending the cutable vector to the cutter I have an option to manually edit the code so that is how I can edit it or build it I am still testing something's out but so far it seams to work good setting the force or speed using the software but I haven't tested it on a pcut so I don't know the results of that im working with a Graphtec and I am looking for another cutter to test on so far I couldn't get the MHseries to work with it (in Linux) I am not sure but since it uses a usb to serial chipset its allot more difficult to set up the Graphtec plug it and saw it as a printer right away and easy to set up
