Not so new to the business - preparing to open a new business!

Hello Everyone!

I've been in the Signs and Vinyl business since High School, and this time around, I'm preparing to open up a custom vinyl shop.

Planning to start off with cut/layered vinyl then as business grows I'll be moving into a print and cut type system.

I'm leaning towards the Gerber Edge system so far as that's what I have the most experiance with.  Presently, I have my sights set on a US Cutter for the first year or so and upgrading as money and demand increase.

The business is going to lean more to catering to the Public Safety industry as that is what I'm also involved in.

Please feel free to offer up any thoughs or ideas as I go here!

WElcome to the forums! YOu are already off to a good start by targeting a sector that you have involvement in. That's how I started...20 years in teh concession business so that's who I targeted. They made my business what it is. Stick with what you know is good advice. Eventually, you will expand what you know,and with it, your business.
