cutting problem

I hope someone can help. I am trying to cut this file , all cuts fine, except the circle around the name and number, I want the circle to meet the body of ball player, but it cuts thru the ball player. I tried to group it but still cuts thru. Thanks, Mark

Check you have no open paths in your graphic, and also check that the circle is converted to curves.

If you have them grouped, ungroup them and clear the selection.

Select the baseball player then -

On the "Shaping Tab" select the drop down and pick "Weld To"

Then select the baseball.

This should clean up the extra arc. To verify that is has eliminated the "extra arc" switch to the wireframe mode.
