Congrats on your deal !!!  :)

To stay on subject (or something like that :)) what ENTRY level printer do you recommend (for vinyl printing obviously)?

FlexiPro better be one HELL of a software package for $1700.  I can't possibly imagine that it is worth that, no offense.  That list price is a crock of sh*t, also.

The Graphtec does some sweet contour cutting, though, and it's unbelievably quiet compared to my LP.

Depends on what you're wanting to use it for.  For the RIP it's one of the best ripping software packages out there.

Maybe true, but you don't need a RIP unless you have a printer.  And if you buy a printer, Versa or otherwise you get a good RIP as well.

I agree.....That's if you get a printer that works with Versaworks.  That's why I posted earlier that it looks like someone is getting a printer in the future.

I've only used Flexi except for the half hr I had Sign Blazer installed and I would never use another sign cutting/printing software besides Flexi, it's that good to me.

Besides if they don't like Flexi they could sell it for what they paid for it.  The license transfer is like $300.00 or so.  Then they got a Graphtec for free.

Considering the time Flexi Pro has saved me since I got it, it has probably paid for itself several times over. I haven't had to open Corel Or AI (neither of which is cheap, btw) since I got Flexi pro.

I really like one software that does it all,and does it better than any other.

If you say so. That is an insane amount of money to spend for software, period.

My day job pays about twice that per license for ProEngineer which, per license, probably nets 200K yearly.

my nephew spends about $100 every week on beer to flush his kidneys out.I achieve the same results with about $3 worth of diet pepsi. IT's all relative.

Gary,

IF you were interested in this deal you should have gave them a call when I first posted it, they were Very Easy to work with.

I am sure you could have made some kind of arrangements like I easily was able to do.

Gotta jump on deals before they are gone.

Hopefully when your ready you will find a good deal.

You will love Flexi pro! I am glad you got the deal.

Thanks John,

I almost passed it up, watching a used Graphtec with Flexi Expert on ebay but as the seconds ticked down and the price shot UP I decided I would eventually be getting into wide format printing, as well as vinyl work, so the Pro was the way to go.

If I got it later it would cost me ALOT more and I was looking for a new cutter Now, so I jumped on it.

Thanks wwpro,

Someone else will have to give you answers on the printing side as I don't have one, Yet, and have only begun to research into them.

Hopefully someone will let up both know here.

midwaste,

Anyone I have talked too about Flexi Pro is Very Happy with it and they believe it is worth the cost for what it can do for you and your business.

I have watched alot of vids for it and felt it was worth the cost that I am paying for Both the Graphtec AND the Flexi Sign PRO.

The list price a crock of sh*t? Have you actually Priced Flexi and the Graphtec?

That "list price" ^ up there I posted of $6390.00 is for BOTH the Flexi AND the Graphtec combined. (Maybe you misunderstood that?)

$4,295.00 is the Selling price of Flexi Sign Pro Alone at Many vendors such as our own hosts here.(Not including the Graphtec.)

Beacon sells it Alone for $3,495.00.

Advanced Color Solutions $4,295.00

Sign Depot $4,295.00

Digital Media Warehouse $4,295.00

Sign Outlet Store $4,295.00 (call for price can save 500-1000 on certain levels of Flexi) Even if you get $1000.00 off from them its still $3,295.00, then Add the Graphtec price to that.($1,495.00)(Total-$4,790.00)

Specialty Graphics Supply $4,295.00 (IN CART-$3,865.00) And the Graphtec is $1,795.00, ADD the Flexi with the cutter and the price is $5,545.00.

Ordway Sign Supply has 8.5 on Sale for $2,495.00 (Good Price, only one version behind.) They are also advertising the Graphtec on Sale, but you have to call for pricing on it.

The cutter would have to be on sale for less than $1,000.00 to match/beat the price and it could very well be.(I just found this one, maybe someone can do even Better.)

I am Sure vendors run various "sales" at different times, you just have to be in the market at the right time to catch one, when your ready or in Need.

I could afford to buy what I did, so I took advantage of the sale.

Whatever the sign business tosses my way, I have the software that can handle it now. And as my company grows.

I can hire someone who knows Corel, Illustrator, Flexi, or even SBE if they know how to use one proficiently and can get the jobs done on time, without having to train them on one or the other because I don't own it.

I don't plan on being a one man operation forever.

No offense taken, we all use what we use for our own reasons.

Why You Should Invest in True Sign Making Software

Well I spent like a wildman on Christmas again this year for the kids, what the heck, it's only once a year and to see their Happy Smiling Faces Christmas morning makes it all worth while.

Left me a touch short to pay off the Graphtec and FlexiSIGN PRO until Monday Dec. 28th, I was Hoping I had it by Christmas.

I did talk to Donna this morning and sent $1,000.00 to Beacon. That leaves me at $400.00 to pay it off on Monday. ;D

I did manage to get a few more Extras tossed into my original deal.  ;D:thumbsup:

I had put this on Lay-A-Way with Beacon, and since then the Graphtec CE5000 - 60 went on Sale by itself.

So as I was paying today I asked Donna IF I pay this off Before Dec. 31st do I get the same offer on the Graphtec as you are now offering until Dec. 31st?

($1,495.00, Free Ship, 15"x50 yrd roll white vinyl, 15"x50yrd roll black vinyl, Additional 1 year warranty)

She looked up our original deal and said yes I can include the Promo offer going on on the Graphtec IF it's paid off by Dec. 31st.

So I now get FREE Shipping (Saved me the $44.00 that was added to my invoice before), Plus $100.00 worth of Vinyl, (VECTOR PRO-V5 GLOSS WHITE UNP 15"X50 YD and VECTOR PRO-V5 GLOSS BLACK UNP 15"X50 YD) And- BEACON ADD'L 1-YR CUTTER WARRANTY.

So that gives a 3 year warranty on the cutter. Nice.

I could have paid it off Today, but I don't like to deplete my Cash account under a certain amount for Emergencies so Monday will be soon enought to pay it off.

Can't wait to get it here tho and start using them.  ;D

I am sure I will love them. Thanks.

As Planned, I still have the whole winter left to just practice with everything here. And then I may have to keep on practicing for awhile after that.

Until a legal case pending is resolved I can't do much else.

But buy the equipment and practice, save up some cash for a few months after the Holidays and I will be buying a bucket lift truck, then after all is settled I will buy a wide format printer.

I bought a few Books from Amazon this week-

Mastering Layout: On the Art of Eye Appeal, By: Mike Stevens

Logo Design for Small Business, By: Dan Antonelli

And,

How to Estimate & Price Signs , By: Dan Hale

Should be helpful reading.

If anyone is interested, I am also in the market for a new graphtec I found Ordway has the Graphtech CE5000 for $1295 on sale, not sure how long the sale is, but it is the least expensive that I have found anywhere.  Uscutter has it for $1495, I was thinking of ordering it here and getting the flexistarter and the coraldraw ess. with it, but I just cant see spending an extra $300 for it.  If I buy the graptech from Ordway and the software from uscutter I still save $100.  Will probably jump in and buy it on Monday.
