Show off your Halloween Pumpkin...

The Wizard I made from a Halloween post here and the Mickey & Minnie pattern I found online.  We get into carving pumpkins in our home

Haha, I carved that same Mickey.  It lasted about 3 days due to the thin lines holding his face up, then it started to sag pretty bad.

Did you use vinyl to cut around, or did you do the print/pounce method?  Vinyl doesn't stick too bad to pumpkin, FWIW.

I did the vinyl on the wizard and the print/pounce on the Mickey and Minnie.  We had fun do in these.

I heard 2 ways to make carved pumpkins last 2+ weeks.

1: Submerge pumpkin in a tbsp to bleach solution for 8hrs right after carving.

or

2: apply petroleum jelly on the cut outs to seal them.

Never tried it. Will next year.

I'll need to try that next year, thanks for the tip....cause this year it seems like the 'fruit flies' are enjoying it...
