i've got a customer who wants this on a 2'x8' banner.

White letters with a red outline.

Is it possible to vectorize it in two colors?

If so can you guys give me some pointers?

Thanks,

Josh

SSW, have you tried to victories this and if so what program are you using? Inkscape is free and from what I have read it works quit well. If you would post what you have attempted to work on I'm sure someone will help you profit from their effort. Don't get discouraged at your attempts if they don't work out the first time. I will even post you a larger picture to try. And once you have tried a couple of time I will send you the .EPS file if you need it.

P.S. IM not trying to be rude and say you haven't tried it for yourself yet. It's just that if you do it yourself it gives you a good feeling of accomplishment and out of your 16 post it looks as if you are trying to learn and I like all the others here would like to help you out.

I didn't think your post sounded rude in any way.

Your right, I am trying to learn.  I don't want people to just do things for me.

And i am using inkscape.

Wow!! You took my original piece and did wonders with it!

On the one labeled redraw, how did you do that?  Did you trace over the original?

I'm really instrested in how you did that.  It would help me significantly to learn out you did that. lol.

I just worked off of the one you had drawn up in the jpeg you posted.

But i'd still love to know how you got it from the original to the redraw.

Thanks

Josh

SSW, the file you traced is awesome work and I

Thanks!

And I may have mis lead you a little.  I didn't trace your drawing, I used the autotrace(trace bitmap) in inkscape.  lol.

But i'll try tracing it and see how it comes out.

But the second one I drew up is also an autotrace with a litte extra tweaking afterwards.  I'm really happy how that one came out.

Thanks for the help!

I have a question.  It may be dumb but here it is.

If you are making a banner. Isn't the banner going to be white anyhow.  And if so.  Why do it layered.  Just do the red outline.  Saves on material.

I guess it's two questions.  Just curious.
