suzy 0 Posted September 3, 2009 It has taken me 3 days to figure out this new machine (MH721) and I am getting there. This is my first experience with a cutter and I have never even seen one before I got this one. I haven't actually put a blade in it yet - just been using the pen on paper. Here's were the idiot came in. I forgot to clamp down the pinch rollers (I bet I don't do that again) and the paper went crazy and the pen wrote all over that little foam-like strip underneath it. Is this going to cause any type of problem? Is there any way to clean it off? I just hate scuffing up my new toy. I guess I should have figured this out ahead of time but....... what is the best way to stop the cutter in case something like this happens again. I panicked and just hit the power button - I don't know if that was the best thing to do. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

As for cleaning the soft cut strip I wouldn't worry about it, I doubt it'll do anything to your future drawings and it won't do a thing to vinyl. Lots of those machines have marked up strips.
