    signblazer error

I have the My Vinyl Designer Vector Art for the home CD - I am having trouble importing eps files from some of the collections. Some of them work just fine (I haven't tried to cut very many of them yet) but when I am scrolling through the collection to find the one I want and I reach a certain point in the catalog I get this message: SignBlazer - an unrecoverable error has occured. It may be possible to save your work..... I click yes or no and Sign Blazer shuts down. There are also ai and svg files in this collection that don't seem to cause this problem when I am searching through them. Will those files work for my MH721 cutter in Sign Blazer. When I got my cutter I was told to use eps files and I don't know anything about those others. As you can probably tell I know very little about any of this. Help please.
  3. It has taken me 3 days to figure out this new machine (MH721) and I am getting there. This is my first experience with a cutter and I have never even seen one before I got this one. I haven't actually put a blade in it yet - just been using the pen on paper. Here's were the idiot came in. I forgot to clamp down the pinch rollers (I bet I don't do that again) and the paper went crazy and the pen wrote all over that little foam-like strip underneath it. Is this going to cause any type of problem? Is there any way to clean it off? I just hate scuffing up my new toy. I guess I should have figured this out ahead of time but....... what is the best way to stop the cutter in case something like this happens again. I panicked and just hit the power button - I don't know if that was the best thing to do.
  4. Thanks so much! I just received my cutter and was so confused with the enclosed instructions. I remembered reading this post last week and you are right - these are much better instructions. Thanks Again

    favorite promo items?

I like mini wall calenders. I put them in outgoing orders starting at the end of October - I do try to keep a list so I don't give the same customer 5 calenders by the end of the year. And....keep a stack on the counter for walk-in customers. Shortly after the first of the year they are all gone and I don't have to deal with it any more. I've been getting them from National Pen (very reasonable price).
  6. Hi y'all, I just wanted to thank everyone for all your help. I have been lurking around the forum for over a week and finally placed an order for the MH721. I have a little print shop in a small South Arkansas town. I mostly print business forms, but I will try to do most anything a customer asks for (within reason). I have a heat transfer machine that I got from a t-shirt shop that went out of business - mostly do inkjet transfer with photos and such and order some school transfers. My goal for my new cutter is wall lettering & designs for home decor (I ordered the My Vinyl Designer Wall Art Collection). I also ordered a few colors of Oracal 631 Removable Vinyl, Siser t-shirt material, application tape & squeegees - If y'all can think of anything else that I can't live without please let me know. All the Q&A on the forum have been a big help in making up my mind and I'm sure I'll be checking in often. Thanks again.
