Refine with optical Eye

hi,

I have not been around the forum for a while.

my MH 1351 is still running great ( slight vinyl drift appart).

My question is this.......on Ebay Uk I came accross a Refine 721 with optical eye.

Has anyone got one? And if so any feedback on how well they work?

Nothing about a laser on it. I have a Refine cutter here and it has no laser. I wonder if someone didn't fit a laser into it themselves. Maybe someone from US Cutter can give us some info?

I know that machine.  It's not a refine.  It's a copy.

The pic they show for it, doesn't it look like the stand says uscutter?  Maybe it's my imagination.

The description on this says "Model laser point mh721" and we don't call ours a laser point.  We have a machine calleed a laserpoint.

I do know that there are lots of clones out there.

Well it has arrived and is assembled and cutting........it is more substantially built than my MH1351..... identical shape, control panel and stand.....just heavier weight.

Now just got to workout how to use the laser for contour cutting .......as this is not mentioned in the instruction manual.

been using this for a couple of days now........for contour cutting it really cannot do anything a normal Refine cannot.....the laser is just that a laser dot.....not an 'OPUS' eye that can follow a contour line like a Graphtec.

Still using Flexi contour cutting I can now cut contour shapes on both my cutters using the 4 registration mark setup

No it cannot as far as I can see do that.

The LASERPOINT brougth by USCUTTER is made by CREATION PCUT.

The REFINE brougth by USCUTTER is made by ? (not PCUT)

USCUTTER currently only sells REFINE machines without laserpointer.

In UK an EBAY seller (used to sell PCUT before under the name UKCUTTER and EUCUTTER) sells REFINE machines (newest versions) that are equipped with a laserpointer just like the USCUTTER LASERPOINT machine and any other currently PCUT machines equipped with a laserpointer.

As mentioned this are all MANUAL laserpoint units which will work 100% with software that supports manual contour cut like SIGNCUT PRO, SIGNGO, FLEXI 8.6

BTW, I equipped a ZUND 50.000 Euro cutting machine with a 10 Euro real laserpointer.

In combination with Signcut it contour cuts nicely.

So all machines not equipped with a laser can be made a contour cut machine anyway.

The laserpointer that is used for the USCUTTER LASERPOINT machines sells for 25$ as spare.

With a little handyman job it can be fitted to virtual any cutting machine and powered by a 3 x AAA cells with a switch.

uscutters mh refine  and  eu_refine mh  are the same.

uk model has laser pointer on carrier and if you have signgo full version then by chosing eu refine mh 721 871 or 1351 you are able to do comtourcut.

you can download free trail for one month full version signgo from their site.

your uk seller has original usb full signgo for 75gbp if you bought plotter from them.

ah looks like Ive made a fool out of myself here, I should have researched I guess.
