LaserPoint 24" w/Stand - Whats Your Roller Width?

Recommended Posts

Just curious.

I picked up a LaserPoint 24", and the rollers for the stand seem too big.

My stand's inner dimensions are ~ 27in  (I'd say 1/16th shorter than that.. but thats close enough).

My rollers are 27 9/16th inches.  I could jam the rollers in there but If I do so, they most certainly won't roll.

Can anyone measure their rollers to give me an idea of what they should be?

I cannot imagine I put the stand together wrongly... (but I'm sure I've done worse in the past..)

Thanks

Rob

The rollers have bearings inside of them, the outer slotted pieces will slide into the slots on the stand snugly, but the rollers will still roll.

But thats just it...

Because my rollers (the aluminum roll, not the bearings) are 27 9/16" and the space betwen the bracets themselves are 27"  The brackets jam/press right into the rollers making nothing roll.

I'd still like to know someone elses roller measurements (ignoring the bearing parts).

An uneducated guess on my side makes me think they *should* measure 26 9/16" giving a bit less than 1/2" of slop to let the rollers actuall roll.

Thanks

Rob

You cant put the slotted center post in the slots on the stand?  You can also just grab the metal brackets and bend them out a little.

Bingo!

That explains it.  My rollers were too long.

I cut my rollers down to 26 1/2"  and everything now rolls.

Thanks,

Rob
