sabrina99 4 Posted February 28, 2009 I have tried doing remove overlap which works but then when I resize the x so it doesn't look right. I want to put a layer behind it so the back layer shows through the seperation between the 7 and the x. Thank you!! 7x.eps 7x.eps

sabrina99 4 Posted February 28, 2009 I thought I did this right then I went to cut it and it isn't. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. It is probably something really stupid. joe_watson_7x_Stripes.eps joe_watson_7x_Stripes.eps
JoeDirt 5 Posted March 1, 2009 You want to outline the X then separate the outline, then click on the outline and the 7 then hit effects, combine, cut out. But you still have an outline around the 7 that needs to be removed thats what s giving you a double cut. After you do what I am trying to say click on the 7 and move it left and you will see the hidden outline. That was on the first 7x file you posted. actually the x has an outline also Here is the one I did. Is that right lol I think that what you want. 7x with outline.eps 7xwithoutline.eps 7x with outline.eps 7xwithoutline.eps

sabrina99 4 Posted March 1, 2009 Yes, I'm getting ready to cut it right now. I looked all through the manual and couldn't find good instructions on how to do this. Thank you. I worked on that for about 4 hours today and just couldn't get it. I will be printing your instructions out.
