Robert H. Bigart 64 Posted February 11, 2009 I just rebuilt my machine and downloaded Inkscape .46 and it loads up the startup screen that is to long and goes below the bottom of screen and there is no way I can reduce the height, so I can't see the last couple of items. Please help! Bob Bigart ( I really feel stupid about this )

tlzimmerman 11 Posted February 11, 2009 Yeah do what John says. Side note, if you just installed windows you need to check to see that your video drivers are installed, if they are not it may not let you change your screen resolution higher. If you need help with that you might call your computer manufacterer or use google for some guides.

BannerJohn 1,324 Posted February 12, 2009 I run mine at 900x600 because of my age. What do You have yours set at? Bob Bigart I should have mine set at that ,my eyes are old too...but it is set at 1024x768
tlzimmerman 11 Posted February 12, 2009 1680x1080....22 inch screen. Studies have shown that running a screen at lower resolution causes more eye strain because curves are not as smooth. Just an FYI. You can keep your resolution higher and adjust your DPI to make the text larger at the higher resolutions...which is the best compromise for older eyes.
