IrishShark 0 Posted November 7, 2008 I know the ability to cut different materials is an option but are there blades that should be used for specific items. I will be cutting cast vinyl, should I use a specific blade? Also whats the average life of a blade?
kenimes 42 Posted November 7, 2008 45 degree blades will cut almost all vinyls, and are the standard with all of our cutter, and the industry for that matter. 60's are good for thicker materials, such as stencil board or sandblast resist, or flock and twill for garments. Blade life depends on how often you cut and the material you are cutting. Some users change their blades every one or two months, and some have been using the same blade for a year....
