same thing here, I called in and recording said a 20 min wait. recording then says to use the chat for quicker response. after several attempts and 30 min later I do get a response from someone that says this particular chat they cant help me. so I call back in and wait. wait wasn't as long as the recording estimated. now I have a live body telling me about the same as in the chat. not exact but still no help. I believe this is the 2nd strike from US Cutter. I def give up with a co. after their 3rd strike. Too many out there wanting business. the 1st was when I called plus emailed about the shipping on my cutter. I paid extra and checked a box for sat delivery. I didn't receive my cutter until the following tue or wed. now I placed an order and when I didn't receive all my items I went back and checked things. The excuse was the site didn't update as I was placing my order. the good was I wasn't charged for the missing items, the bad more shipping charges to get what I needed a week ago. then 1 item may not be the price it was when I placed the original order. Def making me re think about equipment I was thinking about upgrading to in the next little bit. Was trying to talk a friend into going in on 1 order of equipment last night. Now I think will look a little more shopping online before placing an order

VM came with my cutter. so I started learning to cut with this program. a few months later with recommendation and help from a friend I met on here I upgraded to scalps4. every now and then I get a call to do a decal I used vm to make. so I haven't moved anything, I just go into vm and open an old file to do the cut. The 1st issue I had was it would put a space in the txt when a file was reopened. I just reopened 1 and as I was about to hit cut noticed a weird line running thru the design. couldn't get a screenshot of it to post. only shows up when I hit area test , then fades away

i am also looking at some of these cheap holders on ebay. I don't have a set of calipers here at the shop in SC. does anyone know the measurements of 1 for a us cutter sc model? or a link to where you have bought 1. I was looking on the bay and see the cheap Chinese that look like mine with blades for 6 bucks. which 1 from us cutter for the sc is only $30 nothing like the $100 price tag your talking about

so an older Hix would be better than a new cheap 1? Thought it was just me. lol. but I couldn't find any info on that model # anywhere. I sorta wanted to know the age of the machine mostly, and see if replacement parts are readily available

I will post pics when I get all setup. I'm designing my back lit table now. anyone ever wall mount on a hinge? I was thinking being able to fold out of the way when not in use, but I do really like primal's in the post above. along with having extra storage below. I was just thinking wall mounted and adjustable so I could change the angle depending on what I'm working on. May end up designing a wall rack for vinyl storage, right now I'm using 1 of our shops rolling clothing racks.

The roll I bought was Vinyl Ease V0800 . I sprayed the window I was applying the decal to lightly, I mean lightly. didn't matter . almost like the app tape melted to the vinyl. I cut another and applied dry. I have this mistake stuck to the shop fridge, vinyl, app tape just the way I pulled off the truck I was lettering so I never forget. lol I kinda like the clear for somethings. Especially decals on display for sell. was hoping to find some you guys had good luck with applying wet. Guess I will be ordering some paper tape Mon. is there a size you guys find you use the most? I heard the owner of a local shop here complaining to his employees about waste.

What about RTtape AT60? says : Works in Wet Applications AT-60 and AT-75 will not delaminate and leave adhesive in your vinyl during wet apply!

am I reading this right? not to use a clear tape for wet applications? I did find out the hard way that a roll I ordered I missed in the description not for wet applications. but I see some that says it can be used wet.

Just ordered my 1st cutter. been tossing around the idea just so I could do my own decals for my jeep biz. after renting a building and having issues with people getting back with me to do my sign, decided now was the time. I figure I maybe a pretty big project for a newb. I have a 3'x12' backlit sign to do. will have to buy new acrylic since the guy who installed the orig sign skimped and I have 2 pieces in it now. so any and all advice will be appreciated. I plan to play around with the cutter awhile b4 tackling this sign edited the sign size. that's what u get typing at 2am. lol

if u only knew how computer illiterate I really am I believe u would agree with me on the 20 yrs. lol. well I had been toying with the idea for a couple yrs now. So when I kept getting the " I will be there tomorrow" and no shows from several of the local sign guys. I figure now is the time if I'm ever going to. cant rem if Ive already said this, but another part of this equation was the inheritance of my fathers autistic great grand son. He is about a semester away of getting his art degree, and like most his age is either on a comp or video gaming console of some kind. he asked me a couple yrs ago if I thought he could make a living doing tattoos. after I explained the liability of passing blood disease and the cleanliness involved , he quickly skipped that idea. sorta wish he would quit being a lazy ass and try it. he just knows he's a slob. and that's where the decals and sign stuff came to mind. but 2 or 3 yrs ago when we was having this discussion I realized who would have to being doing all the installations. at the time no way could I take on any more. but things change, so here we are. I will be trying to get him more involved soon.

over a month in now. played around with a few different things. made several simple txt decals, banners. whew! I can see where 20 yrs from now still will have so much to learn. what a learning curve for someone who isn't comp. savvy. I more less an int surfer, with limited basic knowledge. can we say in deep! lol. atleast I love a challenge and learning , so will just keep diving deeper. Ok ...... so after playing with the cutter awhile and learning some of the basics, decided I was going to jump and start on this 3x12 backlit sign for the wifes shop. so I have a weird question. I'm wrapping the acrylic board with black translucent vinyl as an out line. so as I'm weeding I'm removing good letters I could use on something else. is there anything readily available I could pick up and use to stick these on till I use them

Like I said, I didn't count to see if u had reached your 10. def pretty cool offer. everybody likes free. my other biz is jeeps, and hotrods. so any is fine. I like them all, from old flat fenders to the current models. not sure I have a fav. trying to narrow dn old muscle cars would be even tougher. would say chevy, but prob have as many fords as chevys. guess the 1 I claim as mine and not the biz is a 64 chevelle. but I guess my 66 ss was my fav or the 67 nova ll. and who don't like the old beetles..lol. a 65 cj5 and 69 beetle was my 1st vehicles. the reason for 2 was couldn't keep either running long at a time. and I don't think I had 2k in both. lol

my local doesn't sell it by the foot that I know of. a little bit of sticker shock on some of this. other than the black I'm only going to use a few ft its hard to tell the exact colors on the us cutter site. what series would u recommend for n outside sign
