    MacOS update issues

I save everything as .ai and doesn’t allow import. To further the weirdness I did the 7 day trial of CC and import from Illustrator worked perfect. Of course it would! Gosh I am just not ready for the monthly payment.

    MacOS update issues

I keep getting the production manager error so it appears it is dealing with the plugin sending from illustrator CS5 to Cut Master 4. Ive installed and uninstalled and tried several times. please don’t make me upgrade to adobe CC yet.

    MacOS update issues

I have the same exact font problem with illustrator CS5. I’m guessing somehow the plugin for illustrator is the problem with it timing out. The updates on Graphtecs site say it’s CS5 comparable so I’m not sure what’s going on.
  5. Just got the CE6000-60 and have been slowly getting it set up over the weekend. I am using Cut Master 4 with it from my Mac. I have watched countless videos on setup etc and just have a few questions I couldn't find the answer for or still unsure of. 1. First is blade pressure. I only use Oracle 631 indoor vinyl. Is there a perfect pressure that I should be on? I am on the default #1 cutting condition at the moment. I Couldn't find what the settings should be for this 631 vinyl which surprised me. When I make my cuts there were sometimes around corners of fonts that is seemed to almost cut through the vinyl backing but on the normal straight sections I could barely feel the imprint on the backing paper. I did notice when I tested my blade depth on a test page where you draw a circle and check if it cut through the backing paper, that it was almost difficult to draw a circle and wasn't smooth. Is it possible my blade is not properly rotating inside the blade holder? 2. As for as Cut Master 4, Is there a way to send multiple designs into have cut. With SCAL 3 I used to use I could export files from Illustrator and in SCAL 3 you could arrange different designs to get the most space taken up on a cut. I understand I could just do this in Illustrator and send it over as one image but it is just extra steps. 3. I will make a cut from a roll, use the down arrow to move the vinyl and cut it, than set it aside and work on another design and cut, I was confused at first because It didn't know where the front edge of the vinyl was anymore and would cut off the paper etc. I stumbled upon the "origin" button. Is this what I should be doing, or is there a way to once again have the cutter search for the front of the vinyl. I am always changing rolls and don't want to turn the machine on/off between each roll to find the front. So am I hitting "origin" after lining up each roll? 4. Final question (for now) The roller bars in the back holding the vinyl roll, On my US Cutter Laserpoint I could spin that roller for days it seemed. These on the CE6000 seem very stiff almost (don't worry I don't have the roll lock on), like they don't spin very much, Maybe this is how it is suppose to be but I don't want the machine tugging on the roll after it gets through the slack and taking the vinyl off track. Thanks for your help if you can answer any of the questions!

    New CE6000-60 and getting acquainted

Right! I didn't know a thing like this existed. I am so stoked it worked like a charm in about 5 seconds of adjusting. One test on a scrap piece of vinyl... Viola.

Craziest thing is I just found out it comes with an item called "PM-CT-001" it is literally a magnifying glass you stick the blade holder into and measure how far the blade is sticking out. Insane and very helpful.

I watched a video on it. I will go over that portion again and double check what it looks like and set at.

Yeah if I had to say it is BARELY sticking out of the blade holder.

There was only one time it cut on the strip when figuring out how to set the Origin after cutting some vinyl off after cuts. So the strip has one tiny cut but otherwise fine.

By hand was fine it just didn't flow smooth into a circle. It looked like a kid learning how to draw a circle with a crayon. Deeper cuts occurred while in the machine and only on certain parts of cutting a font.

Exactly what I did to set the blade in the holder. I took it out and cut a scrap piece of Vinyl. I guess I was curious when doing the practice cut on the scrap vinyl why it didn't seem like a smooth circle when I was cutting and when I cut the deeper cuts on the curves of text. I also watched a video on the larger order and using the Pre feed option. Very cool feature I will be using!
  13. Little background, I have been running the laser point II on my mac for several years. The business started as a hobby and has recently grown a lot faster than ever intended. I use an iMac, create my designs in Illustrator and export to SCAL 3 at the moment. Works really slick and I have become a pro at the process. The laser point II over the year has had to have the IO board replaced. Cuts are getting more and more sloppy. Trying all small maintenance and I just don't think it can keep up anymore with the capacity that I am throwing at it. The lightbulb finally clicked that I could be more productive with a upgraded unit. Time is money ya know? I thought the Titan 3 was going to be that guy. It is upgraded, better paper handling, QUIETER! better cuts on long runs. Seemed like a winner. Than I saw this beautiful black Titan 3 SE version ONLY FOR PC. Better interface, even better paper handling and catch tray. I can't stop thinking now this is the one I need. I have not gotten into any contour cutting so the ARMS feature isn't really something I care about at this point. I just want to know... Who is a software genius that can MAKE THIS WORK FOR MAC?! I work at a computer company selling and services Mac's and PC's all day. Sometimes printers don't work for a unit, you can fool it into working with a different driver, changing some settings etc. There always seems to be a way to figure it out. What about just standard cutting would not make this work for Mac when the Titan 3 version does work? I know I am probably asking the wrong people because none of you on the forum created the product but it's worth a try. Or am I thinking about this the wrong way and should be looking at a different cutter all together? Thanks in advance.

    Titan 3 SE and Mac?

It's a real beauty. Getting it all dialed in but I can't believe how much of an upgrade this is! Thanks again for the help.

    DONE. Graphtec purchased. Thanks everyone.

    Titan 3 SE and Mac?

Wow yeah that would be nice. $1795 new doesn't seem like a bad deal when its only a couple hundred more than the titan 3.

    Titan 3 SE and Mac?

Yeah I am definitely researching the Graphtec. I think that is what I will end up going with.

    Titan 3 SE and Mac?

I never cut wider than 24.

    Titan 3 SE and Mac?

I thought Parallels, I also have a Surface pro I could set up a shared drive and drop the files in there to use a PC software. Parallels would also work. I have a lot of experience in the program but just don't like the thought of dedicating my system partially to windows when I need a ton of space for my design/photography work on my Mac. Skeeter, which Graphtec would you suggest?

    Cuts being off on designs

I do about 15 designs a week I cut on my US Cutter Laserpoint II. I am now starting to get issues with cuts starting to be completely off. Attached is how it cuts and how it is designed. This is happening more and more with other designs but this is by far the worst. I have not changed anything on my computer. I am using a Mac running 10.12.6 and sure cuts a lot 3 pro. I am wondering what is causing this issue now and how to rectify the issue I am burning through a lot of vinyl with incorrect cuts now.

    Cuts being off on designs

More to the crazy equation and I am thinking the machine is bad at this point. I have tried everything I can think of. I moved the paper to the complete opposite side of the machine I don't normally use. I have used the pen instead of the blade. Cut the same design both ways and getting the same results. Attached is the image that is 24x37inches. I set my cutter to the edge of the paper, I watched it the entire time and tracked the paper and the paper didn't move. The head ended an inch right to where it started. Also on an arm of the decal it happened twice in a row cutting the same exact pattern that the straight line went squigley for no reason. Twice. The exact same place. Flipped it over used the pen. SAME EXACT THING. All this only happens on designs over 24-inches it appears. I just cut this design in 3 different smaller sizes and they all cut perfect.

    Cuts being off on designs

Which model do you suggest? I see the FC-8600-75 for 30inch. I usually don't do over 24-inch cuts.

    Cuts being off on designs

    I have not.

    Cuts being off on designs

I am not pulling on them usually. This has been happening now on 5 different orders the machine is just going wonky. I re-installed the software this morning, Ran a 20x44inch square and It looked good until I went to weed it and it didn't match up several corners so it is still not cutting correctly.
