I just use the blue painters tape.

I saw the Rayzist at the NBM Show this year. Its pretty cool, just haven't had that extra money to pull the trigger on it yet.

Im almost positive that this is Herculanum (bold)? Problem is I only need that and two more words and I really don't want to spend the $29 to buy the font. Does anybody know of anything that is similar, that is free? I appreciate any help. Thank You!

It does make a mess and I would definitely do it outside. I think I used my air eraser 3 times before actually investing in a cabinet from Harbor Freight. I want to clarify that I am new to this so some more experienced may have other opinions or ways to control the mess

I am new to this but have fallen in love with etching. I did these for my Motorcycle Club regional meeting. I'm hooked. Some where on glass, some mirrors. Some painted and one that is backlit. The second picture is the backlit mirror while off and the 3rd is with the LEDs on. Thanks for looking! Bennie

Here is one in a dimmed room. These are lit with some cheaper LEDs bought from Amazon because I wasn't sure what I was doing. It was my "trial run".

I did about 15. Some I etched from the front, some from the back on both mirrors and glass. I painted a couple that I etched from the back with red. The lit one is etched and lit with red LEDs And thank you! For some of you more experienced, what would you charge for something like these? They are framed 12x12 mirror tiles. The lit one I used a shadow box. You can PM me if you would like instead of posting here. Bennie

I think I did 2 glasses and one mirror with the air eraser before I went out an bought the HF cabinet. I bought the tabletop but now wish I would have bought the bigger one. Bought some 150 grit from Fastenal and I'm addicted!! I've done a few glasses, cheap mirrors and a couple stones. Probably will be buying another cabinet soon so I can have one for glass and another for stone, the 150 grit takes forever with stone. I'd like to get this thread moving again. Started out with my cutter to do decals but see myself hopefully going this way instead!

Looking for pricing opinion and substrate question. 6 panels, Lettering should be about 15" x 38"per panel, 1 word each panel. Real question is I've only installed on glass in the past. This seems to be some kind of painted plastic. They are wanting to possibly repaint before installation. Questions: 1) will the vinyl stick (651), 2) how long should I wait to apply lettering if they repaint, 3) price I would buy better grade vinyl to do the job but she would like it done by Tuesday due to a Customer Appreciation party they are having. Also, she said they are planning on moving to a different building down the road within the next 1-2 years. Thanks so much

I've done a lot of looking and agree with the above. If anyone has a early version, I'd sure like to have it!!! lol

LLC is way more expensive here in IL. Sole proprietorship here unless things really take off and it was expensive enough after all the red tape IL bullcrap.

Were the IR flags worn on my uniform in Iraq a type of vinyl? Never really paid that much attention to them back then.
