Help needed! Applying transfer tape to large vinyl
Go-C Graphics replied to Scratchthejeepguy's topic in Vinyl
I've learned to do it a different way without the need for extra tools. I have my transfer tape setup so it unrolls with the sticky side up. I roll the long graphics up and only stick about 1-2' down onto the transfer tape and squeegee it down from the back of the graphic. from there I just have to pull more tape out, roll the graphic out, and squeegee the back. Doing it this way you don't need a crazy wide table. I've done a 12' long graphic this way and it was so easy. After I'm done I'll flip everything over so the transfer tape is up and I'll squeegee it again just for good measures. -
After searching here it's been awhile since Etsy has been mentioned. Alot has changed with how etsy works. I'm going into month 2 of my etsy store and I'm not sure I've got things set up right. I'm only getting about 3-5 views a day and I'm paying for about half of those views by promoting listings. I know it's a bit early to be expecting anything big but I was hoping for alittle more traffic and maybe 1 order for father's day. Would anyone be willing to coach me and give me some advice? Here's my store www.etsy.com/shop/GoCCreations Any other selling platforms I should be thinking about? I was thinking about maybe a website but I'm not sure I want to spend $30/month for one if I can't even get a single order on etsy.

Just a few more I've done. https://www.etsy.com/shop/GoCCreations

I'm getting close to buying a Shapeoko soon. Once I sell a few more signs. It'll be so nice to do all the routing for the signs with a CNC.

Anyone have a good C3 (68-81) corvette vector?

Another note.......... It's not advised to put a decal onto window tint.

Any suggestions for other selling platforms. Do you see my signs selling on Ebay? I'm just not sure which way to go. That's always been my problem. I can make pretty cool products and everyone loves them. I just can't figure out how to sell them. Yep just saw that email. They jumped from 3.5% to 5%. that's a pretty big jump and they tried to sugarcoat it by saying they're adding all these new features. But they didn't go into detail that these new features would require a monthly subscription. Fun. -

I'm sorry I never made the time to take a drive down there to meet him and his beloved mustang. We talked about it. I missing seeing all the work he did for his veteran group. I remember seeing an article about the story of him getting wounded. Anyone remember where that was?

If your customers are going to be that picky then you should really invest in color guides from each manufacture. It's the only way to truly get as close of a match as possible.

Shameless plug but I finally set up a selling platform. I'm on etsy. I'm adding new listings everyday. Lets see where this goes. https://www.etsy.com/shop/GoCCreations

Click the little arrow that's pointing to the right in the toolbar. That should expand the and give you more options in the menu. -
Just uncheck the box that says "Keep Holes". This will give you just an outline of the letters without the inside holes.

Graphtech CE lite-50
Go-C Graphics replied to KDM_Freak's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
I don't see your reasoning.............. Why waste your time with 2 cutters. If you want to upgrade "UPGRADE" to a cutter you're going to be happy with. 1 that'll do everything you want. Small -> Large vinyl. I hear they you want to upgrade but you don't really want to upgrade if you're still planning on using the titan. You're going to get the baby graphtec and see how well it works and wish you had just bitten the bullet and bought the CE6000-60. Trust me. -

The only problem I see with it is the fact that it has a max wide of 20". That pretty much means your only option is 15" vinyl. That's not worth $900 to me. -
Yep... I made my own.

With that software deal the winner is Graphtec. Hands downs

Go-C Graphics replied to RDR Grafix 2's topic in Vectorizing
Well.......... He only has 2 posts. The 1st one was back in Sept. where he gave a brief intro and said how much he "love to help people out". 2nd post is 5 months later where he wants something in the middle of the night with a 4 hour turn around time. I'm not surprised if he doesn't come back. -
Store Front Pricing question
Go-C Graphics replied to AmericanWarriorDecals's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
First thought is completely forget about offering 651. You want to do a professional job offer the correct vinyl. At minimum use 751 For me I'd be around $200-250 for material and about 2 hours of time@$60/hour. So my range is $320-370 for the job. You didn't mention removal of any old graphics so that is not included in the price. This is assuming there isn't much travel involved. -
He is a very happy baby.

Thanks...... Complete custom job......... Made to last a lifetime.
